Yami Gautam, who kickstarted her career in showbiz with Vicky Donor, will now be seen in a film opposite Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh. This is the first time that the two have been cast opposite each other.

While the film is yet untitled, it’s a rom-com project and will be set vastly in Delhi. A source close to the project reveals that Yami and Diljit will be heading to the national capital soon for the first schedule of the film. The film goes on floors by the first week of August.

Yami, who was last seen in Uri: The Surgical Strike, is more than thrilled to be part of this project because, after a long time, she is playing the protagonist in the film. As far as Diljit is concerned, he will be seen in Arjun Patiala and Good News as well.
