After donning the host hat for celebrity show, Quick Heal Pinch, Arbaaz Khan, will be seen as a judge on two television shows. He will be working on Jeeo Singing Star, as well as judging a beauty pageant show titled Jeeo King And Queen.

“There are three categories for this reality show: Mr, Miss, and Mrs. Also, since I will be judging a beauty pageant, I will keep in mind that beauty and brains go hand in hand. But beauty pe dhayan toh thoda rakhna hi hoga (will have to keep attention on beauty too),” he says.

And as for being a judge on a singing show, Arbaaz says he is excited about the gig. “Judging music talent in this show will not be difficult for me because I have an ear for music. Yes, I will not be harsh with those who may not be able to give their best. I will try to pass on the message about their singing capability in a subtle manner. I am not strict; I’ll have fun, encourage the contestants and will say nice things to them. Since they will be young and vulnerable talent, I will never like to make them feel nervous. I will surely pass on the message in a subtle manner if they are not good, so that it motivates them,” he explains.

He further says: “However, those who may be good singers, I will surely encourage them. I will pass on an important message that success can be attained by hard work so even if they may have lost in this show they should continue to practice and try again.”

Giving away a secret about the conceptualisation of popular item number Munni Badnam Hui he says, “I remember when I went to meet Lalit (Pundit) at his music room. He made me hear all the songs that he had and I didn’t like a single one. I was about to leave, when Lalitji told me that he has one. I was astounded to hear this song Munni Badnam. I immediately locked this song. That’s how he contributed just one item number to Dabangg.’

Lalit, who was sitting alongside said, “Amongst all the three brothers—Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail—Arbaaz has the best ear for music.”

About his love for music Arbaaz says, “I am pretty well versed in the knowledge of music. I love to hear Indian as well as Western music too. Music for me is about relaxing. I love to go on long drives while listening to emotional, peppy and foot taping numbers, depending on my mood. I have a wonderful sound system. Possessing best musical equipment has always been my craze.”

This only begs the question: will Arbaaz soon be seen singing on celluloid? “You never know,” he says. “But right now, I am still a bathroom singer”.

On the film front, Arbaaz has been busy shooting for Dabangg 3, and working on his Malayali debut in Mohan Lal’s Big Brother.  “I am extremely happy to be sharing the same screen space with Mohan Lal sir,” the actor says about the project. “I was happy when Mohan sir wanted to meet me. Working with him is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me. I play an interesting character of an ‘encounter specialist’. “The film will go on floors in July 2019,” Arbaaz concludes.
