Kerala Assembly adjourned over protests by Opposition on Sabarimala

On Dec 8, prohibitory orders issued under Section 144 of CrPC was imposed in and around Sabarimala areas till midnight of Dec 12.

The KMSS and Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chhatra Parishad (AJYCP) on Thursday urged the government to release the arrested protesters.

The BJP, which had appealed to the govt to drop the celebrations, staged demonstrations at several places.

Security has been stepped up and school closed in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and some other states on Thursday.
