The changes in the Act were cleared by Parliament on July 17 after the Bill was passed by both Houses.

The agency on Friday requested the court to grant custody of all accused so that the officers could interrogate them.

The police had announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh on information leading to the arrest of Jaish terrorist Basir Ahmad.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said the bill had been passed with 278 members voting in its favour and six against it.

He sought all-party support for bill's passage, said division in House on issue will send out wrong message and boost morale of terrorists.

MoS for Home said NIA probes yielded good results and out of 272 cases registered, judgment delivered in 52 cases, conviction in 46 cases.

According to NIA, the accused, Hassan Ali and Harish Mohamed, collected funds and made preparations to carry out terrorist attacks in India.
