A major casting change has led to Yuvika Chaudhary losing her role in Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming big ticket fiction show on Colors titled Kasam. Kratika Sengar Dheer will now play the leading lady opposite Sharad Malhotra in the show, according to sources at Balaji.

“Though it was widely reported that Yuvika had signed the dotted line, it wasn’t the case. She was considered and almost finalised but the deal was never sealed. Ekta wasn’t convinced that Yuvika would pull off the role well, so she decided to cast Kratika Sengar Dheer to play Tanushree,” says the source. “Kratika is finalised and all the formalities will be completed soon,” adds the source.

When contacted, Kratika feigned ignorance. “Yes I have been approached for the role, but I haven’t been told by Balaji that I am in. I am clueless whether I am doing it or no, as I haven’t signed the contract formally. All I can say at the moment is that I would love to do the show. It will be great if things work out. Hoping for the best,” she said. While we were still talking to the actress, she told us that she is getting a call from Balaji and needs to hang up. Perfect timing, eh
