Ratan Rajput to re-enter as Bhojpuri dancer

Actress Ratan Rajput, who captured the audience with her role as the protagonist Santoshi in the series Santoshi Maa, will be returning to the show in a shocking new avatar. This re-entry will lift the pall of gloom that had spread over Santoshi’s fans following her death in the show. Her new avatar, we hear, will show her character in a completely new light and viewers can expect quite a bit of drama following Ratan’s re-entry.

For curious minds wondering what the twist will be, here are a few hints. A nachaniya’s soul has entered the body of Santoshi and turned her into a wild Bhojpuri woman. Needless to say, the act will involve some extensive dance performances from Ratan. From what we hear, the upcoming episode will see the scheming Madhu (played by Upasana Singh) take Santoshi for a baby shower and once there, will spike her drinks. Following this, Santoshi will break into a wild state and dance her heart out to the item song Tinku Jiya from the movie Yamla Pagla Deewana. Santoshi’s wild act is likely to stun not just her fans but all viewers of the show. Talking about the same, an excited Ratan says, “Doing a drunken dance never needs any preparations. During the shoot, there was lot of crowd and so I was a little nervous. But in my head, I imagined that I was alone and looked only at the director while giving my take. All the actors were so supportive, especially Ayaz. He would get me a glass of glucose after every take so that my energy level stayed up during the performance.”
