Indraneil Sengupta to enter Jamai Raja as Dev

Jamai Raja makers are all set to introduce a new twist to the story with the entry of Indraneil Sengupta into the show. Indraneil will be playing the role of Dev Sengupta, a suave industrialist. Dev will be paired opposite Nia, who plays Roshni, as the parallel lead. Oblivious to Sid’s (Ravi Dubey) tumultuous relationship with her, Dev will fall for Roshni, creating a love triangle.

Known for his roles in TV, Bengali cinema as well as Bollywood, Indraneil says that he took up the role since he found the character of Dev to be layered. “It had been a while since I’ve done an author backed role. Dev is a man of few words and unlike Dev, does not wear his heart on his sleeve. At the same time the restraint and intensity in his personality sets him apart. Till now, viewers have seen the bittersweet love story of Sid-Roshni but now post leap with my entry, season two of the show will explore new relationships and their changing dynamics.”

Indraneil adds that he has become very choosy about his projects, opting only to portray well-written characters. On being asked how he plans to divide his time between films and television, the charming actor smiles and adds, “Currently I am also shooting for a film along with the show. I love multitasking so I will try my best to manage both with ease”
