Deepika Singh wears gown designed by a fan

Deepika Singh, the protagonist of the show Diya aur Bati Hum, recently walked the Star Parivaar Awards red carpet in a shimmery grey dress. What makes the gown special is that it is designed by one of her fans. Six months ago, a fan showed Deepika the gown’s design and requested the actress to walk the red carpet wearing the creation. In a rare gesture, the actress readily obliged her fan. When we contacted Deepika, she confirmed saying, “A fan wanted me to wear the gown to the awards show and I thought it was a great chance to show my fans that I love them. I want to thank him for dressing me up in such a beautiful gown.”

Since Deepika plays the character of a tough cop in the show, her ladylike avatar at the awards night was a surprise for everyone. Deepika adds, “I enjoy playing Sandhya and want to keep taking challenges on the show. But for the red carpet, I wanted my fans to see a softer and more feminine side of me. I guess the gown brought it out beautifully.”
