French startup accelerator NUMA, announced its 6-months startup acceleration program for its first batch of shortlisted 12 start-ups.

French startup accelerator NUMA, announced its 6-months startup acceleration program for its first batch of shortlisted 12 start-ups. NUMA Bengaluru also announced its collaboration with Airbus BizLab, a global aerospace business accelerator for setting up an accelerator program in India.

Chosen from over 200 applicants, these 12 start-ups will go through the 6-month tailored acceleration programme, wherein they will be trained and mentored by NUMA’s mentors and Entrepreneur-in-Residence. These start-ups will also be extended operational, legal, marketing support along with co-working office space.

India being on forefront of global economic map and Bangalore being its start up hub, it was a sought after destination for NUMA, said Mr. Frédéric Oru, Chief operating officer of NUMA. Airbus Bizlab that recently launched its accelerator programs in France and Germany, has tied-up with NUMA Bengaluru for starting Airbus Bizlab in India.

“The ecosystem is changing and we need to broaden our horizons and delve into different areas of expertise in order to create more value for our customers”, said Mr. Bruno Gutierres, head of Airbus BizLab. Speaking about the collaboration between two accelerators, Naresh Narsimhan, CEO NUMA Bengaluru said it will be symbiotic. Apart from providing workspace to Airbus BizLab it will also provide access to NUMA’s ecosystem of mentors, other startups, speakers and conferences. NUMA on the other hand will receive mentorship and guidance from BizLab in their area of expertise.
