Indeed, Facebook has arguably made us writers, since it has become the medium of choice for millions to share their views and life experiences. But in the coming years that creativity may look completely different.

Facebook has acknowledged that the best way of telling stories in this world is—by sharing photos and videos. And now, the social networking giant is rolling out a new feature called Slideshow, which will allow its users to share their photos and videos in an easier way than before.

The feature will allow Facebook to sync with your phone’s photo and video folders. Later it gathers all this media into a Slideshow, after which Facebook will create a preview at the top of your News Feed. It also gives an option to the users to post, ignore or customize it—tagging your friend.

Currently, the Slideshow sports 10 themes, including epic, nostalgic, playful, night out, Bollywood, tropical, amped, thankful and birthday.

Originally, the feature was tested in December in select countries and was made available through Facebook’s photo-sharing companion app, Moments. However, Facebook is now rolling out Slideshow to all iOS users around the world to stay at par with Google Photos and Apple’s Memories.
