The smartphone cold war seems to be on the rise and premium smartphone makers are competing each other with the smartphone hardware as weapons. The trump card in the smartphone hardware game is the camera and almost all top smartphone brands are massively concentrating on the photography segment on their flagships. Google, Apple, Samsung, HTC and many others are going all out to beat the competition in the hope to be the No 1 smartphone maker. However, with emerging technologies, powerful sensors, advance chipsets and intelligent software collaborate together to make the small pocketable device perform as good as the massive DSLR. In this race, time is the main crucial element which puts the rival ahead of you.

While Apple’s iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus’ cameras are presently considered as the best smartphone cameras out there and DXOMark has given it a rating of a massive 96 points. However, Google seems to feel the heat already. Google’s flagship Pixel and Pixel XL were the leaders in 2016-2017 with the best camera performance out there. However, with new models from HTC and Apple, Google’s Pixel was beaten to its game and the search giant isn’t giving up.

Google is yet to announce its 2017 flagship and it seems that the company has been preparing with fierce. While there are numerous rumours and leaks about the next Pixel flagship, there is no final answer to the specifications or the designs for the same. Come October 4, we shall see Google announcing the new smartphones and the pieces of the puzzle will finally come together to end the speculations around it.

While the 4th of October is just around the corner, in a new move, Google has taken centre stage to reveal/leak/tease the market and mock its competition. Google, on its blog post, has gone all out to post image samples that show the performance of its next flagship smartphone’s camera.

The images seem to be well planned in time, especially just a day before Apple started their sales for the iPhone 8 flagships around the world.

“We’re always excited to see what #teampixel photographs next. This week’s photos capture everything from the tombs and temples in Jordan to the crestfallen leaves of autumn, proving a good photo can be taken anywhere.” said Google on its blogpost.

Check out the sample shots from the Pixel, which Google has hosted on their website. The images seem good for now, but there is no confirmation whether these images are from the new unreleased Pixel (2017) flagship smartphones, or from the 2016 Pixels, from another source or even if they are post processed.
