Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8 was launched in four colours last month. Only three of them were available to buy all this time—Space Black, Neptune Blue and Moonlight White. The fourth colour called Cosmic Purple now joins the party and will be available for purchase in two memory variants- 4/64GB for Rs 9,999 and 6/128GB for Rs 12,999.

The new Cosmic Purple colour variant will go on sale from this Friday, November 29 on M.com and Mi Home stores.

The Redmi Note 8 has great mid-range specs, with a  6.3-inch FHD+ LCD screen and a Snapdragon 665SoC under the hood. The phone also has a 13MP front-facing camera and the 48MP camera on the back is complemented by an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor.

The Redmi Note 8 runs on MIUI 10 based on Android Pie out of the box and will soon get the MIUI 11 update, possibly based on Android 10. The 4000mAh battery can be charged at 18W. The fingerprint reader goes on the back for biometric security as the phone has no AMOLED display and hence no in-display fingerprint reader. The various memory variants of the Redmi Note 8 start at Rs 9,999.
