Pune-based Swipe had launched the Elite 2 Plus that offers 4G LTE at an affordable price.

While there are many devices now available that support 4G LTE, the Elite 2 Plus, is one of the few that comes at an affordable price. It runs on a 1.5GHz quad core processor with 1GB RAM. It is powered by Android Lollipop 5.1. The device is a decent performer with a smooth app interface.

The 5.5-inch display comes with a resolution of 854x480 pixels. We tried playing few videos and it was grainy, especially in the full screen mode: the video quality of this device is quite basic. The 5 megapixels rear camera will get you some decent pictures, but the 2 megapixels front camera is just about OK.

Design wise, the Elite 2 Plus is light-in-weight yet sturdy to hold. The back panel is removable and the battery the 2500mAh, good for one day, is replaceable. The dual SIM device comes with 8 GB internal storage is expandable up to 32GB. Priced at Rs 4,444, the Elite 2 Plus is a value-for-money smart phone.

If your budget will stretch to Rs 10,999, Swipe has an even more compelling proposition: the Elite Max, with Android 6.0, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, 13MP rear and 8MP front cameras and a full HD 5.5-inch display. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor — useful, if government enables Aadhaar authentication from phones, next year.
