It wasn’t until recent years that mobile gamers or even the mobile gaming industry were taken seriously. You had smartphones that could barely offer to play multiplayer games, phones that offered decent performance, and phones that could offer good graphics, no lag and no excessive heating, but that was about it.

However with technology like 4G coming to, and becoming increasingly popular on mobile devices, data costs dropping significantly and serious hardcore multiplayer games like PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty coming into the equation, the industry is shifting, and gaming devices are now a proper sub-category for phones. As of now, here are the top dedicated gaming devices that money can buy.

Asus ROG Phone II

The first Asus ROG Phone was one of the first gaming phones ever and carried some neat features along with a stunning design and a hefty price tag. Now, the second edition of the phone launched this year comes with better specs and surprisingly a smaller price tag. The Asus ROG phone comes with the latest Snapdragon 855+, 8GB RAM, 128GB UFS 3.0 storage, an AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate support, a vent for cooling, two USB ports for charging and a monstrous 6000mAh battery among some exclusive features like the Asus Air triggers on the phone’s sides which help immensely in gaming.

Xiaomi Black Shark 2

Xiaomi’s Black Shark series is another gaming oriented line of smartphones. The Black Shark phones are arguably the best-looking gaming smartphones out there. The Black Shark 2 on that note, comes with dual RGB Strips on the back of the phone that look absolutely amazing. A 6.39-inch AMOLED screen in the device has special features like the ability to create custom touch zones that can trigger multiple screen actions from the same point when engaged. The specs include a Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and a 4000mAh battery.

Nubia Red Magic 3S

Nubia is not that well known for a gaming brand, compared to say the ROG or Black Shark devices, but its gaming devices are not pushovers. The Red Magic 3S is the first, and the only gaming phone that has an actual fan inside the unit for effective cooling that keeps temperatures low and efficiency at the peak. The 6.6-inch AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate comes with and RGB LED strip on the rear of the phone. The phone also has shoulder buttons that can be configured according to your gaming needs and a port on the side that lets you connect the phone to a computer to stream your games.
