OPPO launches A71 with AI camera in India

OPPO has launched an upgraded version of A71 with improved Artificial Intelligence (AI) beauty technology, priced at Rs 9,990. The refreshed version is the successor to the last year's OPPO A71 and is already available via Flipkart. The new 3GB variant comes equipped with "AI Beauty" function, touted to capture more than 200 facial features, making face recognition more accurate.

As for the specifications, the upgraded version boasts a 5.2-inch HD TFT display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels along with 16:9 aspect ratio. The OPPO A71 is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor clocked at 1.8Hz coupled with 3GB RAM. The handset features a 16GB of storage which is expandable up to 256GB. The OPPO A71 comes in two colour variants — Gold and Black.

The smartphone features a 13MP rear sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP front shooter with f/2.4 aperture. The refreshed version of the Oppo A71 comes with an AI-powered Beauty Recognition Technology, Multi-Frame Denoising Technology and Ultra HD Technology. The handset also features a proprietary Bokeh effect that will blur the background of your selfies, using an arithmetic optimisation to distinguish foreground subjects.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G VoLTE, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is backed a 3000mAh battery which the company claims that the phone will deliver up to 19 hours of total usage on a single charge. The handset will soon go on sale via Amazon and Snapdeal.
