OKWU on Friday launched its latest smartphone Omicron. Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge launched the phone along with Anshuman Atul, CEO and Managing Director of OKWU and Arjun Gupta, COO and Co-Managing Director, OKWU.

The device sports a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by a MEDIATEK 6737 Chipset that is powered by 1.5 GHz Quad Core processor paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB. It packs a 13MP rear camera, while there is a 5MP front facing camera with PDAF sensor.  It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and also has a fingerprint sensor for added security.

OKWU smartphones will be manufactured and assembled in Shenzhen, China and the company plans to have their own assembly unit in India ahead. The company is also in talks with Amity University for developing Research and Development facility.
