Last month, Xiaomi India head, Manu Jain teased the arrival of the Redmi Note 7 in India and with it, he stated that with its arrival, they will turn the industry upside down. Since then, information has been trickling in leading us to believe that the arrival of the Redmi Note 7 will arrive sooner than later. The latest information comes via tech website MySmartPrice and they detail the configurations and the colour variants the Note 7 will arrive in.

As per the report, the base variant of the Redmi Note 7 will be launched with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage while the premium model will feature 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage. For those hoping that the 6GB/64GB variant will come to India as well, you’re out of luck as it appears that Xiaomi has no plans of including the top of the line variant at the time of launch. Moving on, the Redmi Note 7 will come in three colour options — Black, Blue Gradient and Twilight Gold.

The Redmi Note 7 comes packing a 6.3-inch LCD display with a waterdrop notch that plays home to the selfie camera with Gorilla Glass on top. The handset sports a Full HD+ display with an 84 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The Note 7 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor that's clocked at 2.2GHz.

The main camera is clearly the biggest selling point of the new phone. Its native resolution is 48 MP, but due to its Quad-Bayer filter, it's better used for outputting 12 MP images with large 1.6 μm pixels and real-time HDR. There is a secondary 5 MP shooter for AI purposes and Portrait Mode. The selfie snapper, tucked in the notch, is 13 MP.

Xiaomi has used a 4000mAh battery in the Note 7 and it supports Qualcomm's fast charge technology. The handset comes with a USB Type-C port with a 5V/2A charger but it can be upgraded with a fast charging adaptor which will enable 9V/2A charging that will juice up the battery from 0 to 100 per cent in 1 hour 43 minutes. While no concrete information is provided, the expected price of the Redmi Note 7 is said to be Rs 9,999.

Alongside the Redmi Note 7, Xiaomi also has plans to bring the Redmi Go to India. The handset will run on Android Oreo 8.1 Go Edition and will be available in a single variant — 1GB RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. The handset will be available in Black, Blue and Red colour options. This handset will debut with a 5-inch HD display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 425 SoC. It comes with a single 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. Storage can be expanded by using a microSD card and it will have dual SIM support. The device will be kept alive by a 3000mAh battery.
