The online world is also preparing for the big occasion. The hippest emojis are here to give your special day a boost. Funky colourful toons are raining in on the e-world and none other than the most celebrated bassist Sir Paul McCartney himself has shown up on the V-Day scene pulling off some special audio emojis for Skype. Those video-chatters over the app can exchange these tiny ‘Love Mojis’, as the former-Beatles man puts it.

The cute five-second short animated clips appear in 10 different looks. On his official website, Paul explains this all-so-different job thus: “It turned out to be a great laugh at the same time as challenging because you suddenly realise you've got to compress a musical interpretation of an expression into less than five seconds. It was like doing a huge crossword puzzle and coming up with all these solutions. And at the same time it was musical so it was great practice for me in the studio," he says. He really did some tightrope walking to emote flirting and blushing.

For creating the music, he has tried a variety of instruments from guitars and keys to drums and xylophone and even his own voice. Just as the ‘Love Mojis’, the video showing Paul at work with his crew in studio composing the tunes and making of the emojis, is also a hot pick among netizens nearing 100K views on YouTube in two days since the release.

Paul is not the only one to get into the act. The Italian luxury fashion house Versace has come up with a romantic emoji app close to V-day. The brand’s iconic Medusa logo appears as a smiley face flashing across emotions of sorts. The free app is accessible over iOS and Android. This accompanies an all new series of trendy #VersaceSharesLove tees bearing the smiling Medusa in black and white in styles suiting men and women. The new move is dubbed to be an inspiration from American celeb Kim Kardashian who came up with a Kimoji app last year. From fashion high street, American brand Michael Kors too is very much in the game launching ‘Love Story’, a digital Valentine’s Day gift guide for the V-day revellers.
