Reliance Jio announces Rs 49 plan for feature phone users
Reliance Jio Phone users will get unlimited voice calls, 1GB 4G data at just Rs 49.
Are you a Jio phone user? Here is a good news. Reliance Jio is offering its Jio Phone users unlimited voice calls and 1GB 4G data for 28 days at a price of Rs 49 as part of Republic Day 2018. Additionally, the company has also introduced data add-ons for Jio Phone at Rs 11, Rs 21, Rs 51 and Rs 101.
The Reliance JioPhone was launched back in July with services such as JioTV, JioCinema and others. Jio Phone reportedly excelled the feature phone market in India in the fourth quarter of 2017, as per Counterpoint Research. The Reliance Jio phone ruled over the market with a share of 26 per cent, surpassing Samsung (15 per cent) and Micromax (9 per cent) market share in the fourth quarter respectively.
"Reliance Jio captured a 26 per cent share of the feature phone segment in just one quarter with its compelling value proposition compared to the normal 2G feature phones," Counterpoint Associate Director Tarun Pathak had said in a statement.
The Reliance JioPhone sports a 2.4-inch display with a resolution of 240x320 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor clubbed with 512MB RAM. The handset sports 2-MP rear camera sensor and a 0.3MP front shooter. The phone draws its powers from a 2000mAh battery.
