The Cupertino tech giant issued a statement which announced its intentions of accelerating US investments and job generation.
A company which has elevated itself to a global premium brand and carved a niche for itself, Apple seems to have a new plan now. Apart from manufacturing its regular devices, it plans to indulge its functions, revenue and know how in building America.
Criticised of outsourcing its manufacturing, Apple is now gearing up to bring massive amounts of money back into the US. Apple Inc. recently announced that it will source $350 billion in the US economy over the next five years. It plans to invest $30 billion in capital spending and generate 20,000 new jobs by building a new campus.
Gene Munster, a financial analyst reportedly commented on the same and said,"Apple's testing have found that people really want to talk to someone for support that's based in the country that they're calling from and so Apple U.S. is their biggest base so they want to accommodate that."
Even though the location of the new campus hasn’t been announced yet, speculations suggest that it will be expected to house technical support staff , who interact with customers in the US.
