Amazon announces updated Echo Dot, Echo Plus and all new Echo Sub

Amazon has announced a new line-up of Echo devices, and an Echo companion device, making it easier to bring the features and convenience of Alexa to any room in the home.

New Echo and Echo companion devices include:

Echo Dot: Now with a new speaker for louder and crisper sound, an updated fabric design, for Rs 4,499.

Echo Plus: It comes with a built-in Zigbee hub, plus an upgraded speaker and a new design, and priced at Rs 14,999.

Echo Sub: Add deep bass to music playback on Echo devices. This subwoofer costs Rs 12,999.

The Echo Dot

The next-generation Echo Dot features a new fabric design and comes with an all-new curved shape. The Echo Dot is available in Charcoal, Heather Gray, and Sandstone, letting customers to easily mix and match. Amazon claims that the new Echo Dot plays music louder with richer sound, all in a compact design. Connect to your home theatre or speaker via Bluetooth or 3.5mm audio cable for even bigger sound.

Echo Plus

With its built-in Zigbee smart home hub, the new Echo Plus makes setting up compatible smart home devices easy. Just say, “Alexa, discover my devices,” and Echo Plus will automatically discover and setup compatible lights and plugs without the need for additional hubs or apps. Echo Plus now includes an embedded temperature sensor, so you can set temperature-based routines using other smart home devices.

Echo Sub

Echo Sub is the first wireless Echo subwoofer from Amazon when listening to music on their existing or new Echo devices. You can connect Echo Sub to compatible Echo devices to create a 1.1 or 2.1 pairing for stereo sound. With the equalizer feature, you can adjust the bass, mid-range, and treble of the pairing simply by using your voice. Just say, “Alexa, turn up the bass.”

All new Echo devices are available for pre-order on Amazon.in starting September 21. Echo Dot and Echo Plus will start shipping from next month while the Echo Sub will be available later this year.
