Xiaomi Mi Body Composition Scale launched in India

Xiaomi has been revamping its smartphone lineup in the last few weeks. The company, however, has unveiled a new product aimed at fitness freaks — Mi Body Composition Scale. The product is essentially a health tracking gadget with multiple smart sensors that can track various health aspects of an individual. One can buy the Mi Body Scale for Rs 1,999.

The Mi Body Scale looks like any other conventional weight scale, albeit with no analogue indicator. Instead, Xiaomi uses a digital display for displaying information about various health parameters such as Weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), Body Fat, Muscle Mass, Water Percentage, Bone Mass, Visceral Fat, Body Score Basal Metabolism, etc. However, the Mi Body Scale isn’t limited to only showing various information. It tracks as well.

The Mi Body Composition Scale is a smart device, which means it connects to your smartphone via the Mi Fit app. The app stores all your health data and presents it in the form of graphs and tables. The app is supported by smartphones running on Android 4.4 and above, as well as iOS 8 and above. Keeping aside the app, the device can also store up to 16 profiles, which means that all your family members can have their own health report, despite all of them using successively.

The Mi Body Composition Scale runs on 4x AAA batteries. The device has been put for sale and can be ordered from Mi.com and Mi Home stores.
