The Moto Tab is a rebranded Lenovo Tab 4 powered by a Snapdragon 625 chipset.
Since its acquisition by Lenovo, Motorola has been trying to get back its market share from the tech giants of the modern world by throwing all kinds of possible innovations they can do within segments. The last time they did a tablet, it garnered decent responses with the Moto Xoom in 2011. And now, after six years, they are back with another tablet — the Moto Tab.
The Moto Tab is essentially a Lenovo Tab 4 for the American market. It will be sold via At&t and has been priced at $299 (approx Rs 19,000). The Moto Tab sports a 10.1-inch full HD display with an IPS panel. The device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 clocked up to 2.0 GHz along with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. There’s 128 GB of expandable storage available as well. The Tab is backed by a 7000mAh battery and runs on Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box. There’s also USB Type-C connectivity and Dolby Atmos powered dual speaker setup onboard.
As with the Lenovo Tab, the Moto Tab will also come with its own set of accessories. There will be a Home Assistant Pack that will essentially provide a dock along with a 3W speaker. The Productivity Pack brings a ThinkPad-style Bluetooth keyboard with a dedicated touchpad and a protection case. Sadly, Motorola hasn’t expressed any plans to bring it to the Indian shores. But if you want to have one, you can grab the Lenovo Tab 4 for the same price and accessories.
