Here’s what to look forward to in September

With August out of the way we are on the precipice of what may prove to be one of the most fruitful stretches for gamers in recent history. Having been disappointed with some of the more anticipated releases of the year thus far, namely, No Man’s Sky and Homefront, September brings with itself a huge amount of promise.

Considering the fact that all the major football leagues are well under way, the two football giants will also be going head to head this September. First to release will be Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on September 17, followed by FIFA 17 for the same platforms on September 27. FIFA has been the undisputed king of the football world over the last few years but has grown stale however the new story driver career mode seems exciting.

Recent years have seen a significant increase in PES’ fanbase owing to the fantastic gameplay that Konami has managed to incorporate.

On the console front, we have Recore for the PC and Xbox One releasing on September 13. This action-adventure shooter won a hearts and turned a lot of heads when the trailer debuted at E3 2015, and has had Xbox One owners on tenterhooks to try out this stunning looking game that features the protagonist and her mechanical companions that can be transferred into a different body!

Forza Horizon 3 hits the shelves on September 27 for the PC and Xbox One and is one of Microsoft’s top titles to feature Xbox ‘Play Anywhere’ meaning you will own it on Xbox One and Windows 10 with one purchase. You also get to play with your friends regardless of platform.

The much awaited open world racer boasts a massive lineup of 350 cars as you race across Australia and the map is twice the size of Forza Horizon 2!

Then you have the much awaited console launch for the Xcom 2. Released way back in February 2016, on the PC, Xcom 2 managed to win a lot of hearts with its emphasis on strategy, team composition and base management. This turn based strategy game will most definitely feature on many a top 10 games of the year lists, and finally console gamers get to try out just why PC gamers were all up in a tizzy upon the release of this fantastic game on September 27.
