New Delhi: Delhi Dynamos and defending champions ATK will hope to gain some respect with a win in the closing stages of a miserable Indian Super League 4 campaign here on Saturday.

Delhi were rooted to the bottom of the table for the better part of the tournament and only jumped a place up with their draw against FC Goa in their last match.

They are ninth with 12 points from 15 matches, having won only three matches so far.

“We played for a win against FC Goa (in the last game). We want to finish this competition on a positive note,” Delhi coach Miguel Angel Portugal said on Friday.

The Spanish coach has struggled to get a grip on his team but has managed to regain some confidence, remaining unbeaten in their last three matches, gaining five points.

A win on the morrow would put them ahead of ATK, eighth with 13 points from 15 outings.

The title holders have never failed to qualify for the semifinals in the three years of the tournament and have won the it twice.

But this season they have been pathetic, sacking Teddy Sheringham to appoint Ashley Westwood as a their coach on an interim basis.

The move has failed to lift their sagging spirits as they are yet to win in any of his last five matches in charge, losing four times.

“We need to stop conceding. We are good attacking-wise. We have nothing to lose and we try and win games. So, we open ourselves a little bit but attack in a quick aggressive way,” said Westwood.

ATK lost to Mumbai City 1-2 in their previous match and have been hampered by injuries to key overseas players, notably Irish striker Robbie Keane.
