All-rounder Ayush Zimare played a whirlwind knock of 87 but failed to take his team home. Replying to Virar/ Palghar Centre’s score of 194 runs, Zimare kept Worli Centre in the hunt till the end but lost partners and finally succumbed to pressure in the end.

Aman Tiwari, with 3/37 and Aaron Rodriques with 3/26, helped bundle out the Worli Centre team in 82.4 overs.

Zimare scalped four wickets on the first day of the two-day final to ensure his team chased less than 200. But Worli Centre batsmen failed to provide any resistance. Zimare, the  man of the match and player of the tournament award, hung with the tail, combining caution with aggression but his side could manage just 171 in the end falling short by 23 runs of Virar/Palghar’s first innings score.
