Not surprised by DK’s exploits: Desai
Desai said he was not surprised by Karthik’s exploits at the Nidahas Trophy.
Colombo: Dinesh Karthik has transformed a lot in the last couple of years, especially after he started working with Mumbai all-rounder Abhishek Nayar and Surat-based coach Apurva Desai.
Desai said he was not surprised by Karthik’s exploits at the Nidahas Trophy. “I am not surprised with his power hitting. He is sure about the areas he wants to hit in shorter versions. Hence, I am assuming that hitting it over covers might have been in his mind since he was probably expecting a yorker outside the off stump,” said Desai.
“DK had a four-day session at the D.Y. Patil Stadium soon after he returned from South Africa. It is technical as well as tactical planning considering what conditions he is likely to face in the tournament,” he added.
