QDescribe your favourite writing space?
I have a writing retreat — I often go up into the mountains. It takes me a day or two to decompress from my usual schedule. But then the ideas flow, and the inspiration visits.QDo you have a writing schedule?
I wish I could say yes. But I write when I’m inspired, which is also on airplanes and in hotel rooms.QWhat inspires you to write? Do you have a secret trick, or a book/author that helps?
The main reason I write is to be of service. It’s much less about book sales and bestseller lists and more about helping ordinary people like me express their best potential and live fantastic lives in the process. I just want to use my life to have an impact.QCoffee/tea/cigarettes — numbers please — while you are writing?
One cup of coffee each morning. And herbal tea through the rest of the day. I am a non-smoker.QWhich books are you reading at present?
The War of Art by Steven Pressfield.QWho are your favourite authors?
Herman Hesse, James Allen, Kahlil Gibran.QWhich book/author should be banned on grounds of bad taste?
If I don’t have something good to say, I do my best to stay silent. The world has enough critics.QWhich are your favourite children’s books?
Hope for the Flowers and The Giving Tree. I read it to my kids when they were young.QWhich classics do you want to read?
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinback.QWho is your favourite literary character?
I love reading Macbeth. And Richard Bach’s Jonathan Livingston Seagull is pretty cool.
