Pervez desperate to join politics?
Nov. 19: Former Pakistan military ruler Pervez Musharraf is desperate to return to Pakistan politics, sources close to the ousted dictator said.
"He wants top return to politics after this month. He is desperate for this but the response from his political friends has been minimal," a source close to the former general said. Mr Musharraf ruled Pakistan from 1999 to 2008 after seizing power from elected PM Nawaz Sharif. He quit the Army in November 2007 and became a civilian President but was forced to resign under immense political pressure.
