With 12,000 LED lamps and almost 300 luminous figures on the Reilsberg in Halle: The open-air exhibition of Chinese art has brought the Bergzoo the most successful month since its foundation in 1901.
The imaginative exhibition "Magic Light Worlds" has given the Hallesches Bergzoo an unprecedented rush of visitors. The interest even exceeded the influx that had occurred because of the two elephant calves that was recently born there.
The magical lights had attracted visitors from all over Central Germany and beyond like a magnet. In total, more than 93,000 visitors came for the event.
Every year about 330,000 visitors come to the Reilsberg and visit the Halle Zoo. There are events several times a year, including the Lilac Flower Festival, which attracted 35,000 visitors in three weeks in 2017.
The partly fantastic, partly realistic figures from the flora and fauna have been on display since the beginning of February.
