Bollywood stars bid adieu to Neeraj Vora as actor-filmmaker makes final journey

Producer Firoz Nadiadwala was one of those who carried his body to the Santacruz crematorium. Vora was being taken care of at Nadiadwala’s home since March after he slipped into coma, following a heart attack in October last year.
Abhishek Bachchan had worked with Neeraj Vora in ‘Bol Bachchan.’ Vora was known primarily for his comic timing and also directed films of the genre like ‘Phir Hera Pheri.’
Rohit Shetty’s claim to fame, ‘Golmaal’ was written by Vora. He also cast him in ‘Bol Bachchan’ later.
Paresh Rawal, Ashutosh Gowariker and Vipul Amrutlal Shah were also spotted at the funeral. Rawal was among the first to tweet his grief about the news and had worked with him in films like ‘Hera Pheri’ and ‘Phir Hera Pheri.’
Abbas-Mustan had directed him in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Badshah.’ They arrived with their brother Hussain for the last rites.
