Aamir Khan’s ‘Dhoom 3’ and ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ director Vijay Krishna Acharya was among the guests at the screening.
Aamir’s son Junaid and ex-wife Reena Dutta pose for the cameras. A lesser-known fact is that Reena is seen briefly in the song ‘Papa Kehte Hai’. They apparently ‘secretly’ got married when the shoot was underway and it was kept under wraps till the success of the film.
Aamir’s brother Faizal was also a part of the film in a brief role and also has acted with him in ‘Mela’ which also starred Twinkle Khanna.
Udit Narayan had sung the famous song ‘Papa Kehte Hai’, which is still fresh in the memory of Hindi cinema lovers, and also four other songs.
Makarand Deshpande was also among the members of the cast. He and Aamir also acted together in ‘Sarfarosh’ and ‘Pehla Nasha.’
Aamir’s cousin Mansoor Khan gave him that big break with this film. He also directed him in ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander’, another much-loved film and ‘Akele Hum Akele Tum’.
Aamir was accompanied by wife Kiran Rao at the premiere. Their production house tasted success with ‘Secret Superstar’ last year.
While the film’s leading lady Juhi Chawla was absent for the premiere, Aamir got romantic with Kiran, playing the guitar and singing for her.
The entire team poses at the event, which also included singer Alka Yagnik, who also rendered four songs, and actors like Dalip Tahil, Rajendranath Zutshi, Viju Khote, Shehzad Khan, and others.
