Martijn Gerard Garritsen, better known by his stage name Martin Garrix is no stranger to India. The 20-year-old Dutch record producer has been to the Maximum City multiple times in the past. In a quick exchange, he tells us what brings him back to Mumbai and what we must expect at his next gig.

Of all the venues in the world, which one is the most special Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Miami. The people, the parties are really great. Definitely in L.A. and Paris.

You come to Mumbai often, what makes you want to keep coming back to the city Indian fans are very polite and I really enjoy the energy they bring to a party. I think India has a big dedicated audience and it’s still growing as well. Also, I love the culture and the food here.

How is this gig going to be different than the last time you performed here It’s going to be a night of celebration with all my Indian fans at Sunburn. This is the first time I’m doing such an extensive tour in India and I’m super excited.

What is your set this year going to be like It’s going to be one crazy night and I’m pretty excited to meet all my fans who voted me for the number one spot. You can expect a crazy show. Every gig is a chance to do something new, you really have to come and see for yourselves! Which is your favourite music festival, why Tomorrowland was a dream to go to since it’s close to my home and such a special event. Ultra is definitely the closest to my heart because I played two of the most important sets of my life there and they’ve supported me all the way. Also, it was here when for the first time I got to hear my track being played live at a festival by Fatboy Slim.
