Favourite play: Phantom of the Opera in London

The production was a visual treat with great sets, and excellent acting. There are about a 100 people on stage, and yet all eyes were on the Phantom when he lets go of the girl he loves. During this scene, the actors managed to make the entire audience members sob — there was an errie silence in the auditorium and I think that’s quite a success in itself. Saurabh is the director of the play, Barff

Pritam Singh Favourite song: Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon has been one track that’s been on my playlist for some time now. Armaan Malik has a soulful voice. Right from the music to the lyrics, the track made me realise how important my wife is to me. The album also has a very fresh feel to it. Pritam is an RJ

Maryam Zakaria Favourite film: Kuch Kuch Hota Hai I loved Shah Rukh Khan in the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. I think he was perfect for the role, right from portraying a college going chap to a father after a leap. There wasn’t a moment in the film where he looked out of character. I'm a huge SRK fan, and for me, this is one of his many films that he made a delight to watch. Maryam is an actress

Andaleeb Wajid Favourite book: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince I think the Harry Potter Series by J K Rowling is something that everyone should read. My favourite book in the series would be Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince. I read the series when I was in my mid-twenties, and it blew my mind. JK Rowling’s attention to detail and the world she lets her characters inhabit is just amazing. I think it’s a series that is relevant for every generation. There’s hope, there’s love, and there’s redemption, all set in a world of magic. What’s not to love about it Asmara’s Summer is Andaleeb’s latest book published by Penguin

Arun Pansare Favourite restaurant: Aagri cuisine I would recommend people to try the Maharashtrian Aagri cuisine, which originated in Konkan areas. The authenticity of this particular cuisine is that you will taste all three flavours —sweet, spicy and salty—in a single dish. I would insist people try it since this cuisine isn’t heard about, and people need to know what Konkani food really tastes like. Not only is it high on taste, it is nutritious too. Arun Pansare is a chef at the Maati Baani Restaurant, Malshej Ghat

Vivian Dsena Favourite TV show: Breaking Bad I like crime based shows, and Breaking Bad is my favourite. The performances of the lead actors, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are exceptional. The show keeps you glued to your TV set. I think you can watch the show any number of times and still be entertained. Each episode is unpredictable and I couldn’t wait to watch the succeeding ones.
