Prime Minister Narendra Modi is believed to have taken note of the doping scandal engulfing India’s wrestling dreams for Rio Olympics, now barely 10 days away.

It is understood that Wrestling Federation of India president Brij Bhushan Saran Singh met PM Narendra Modi on Monday to discuss the matter. Mr Modi, according to reports, said that the truth in the controversy must come out and asked the WFI to put forth a clear picture in the entire matter.

A day after Narsingh Yadav’s Olympic dream was virtually over after being caught doping for methandienone, on Monday his roommate and sparring partner Sandeep Tulsi Yadav also tested positive for the same banned substance. The WFI has alleged a conspiracy and Narsingh Yadav has demanded a probe by the CBI.
