Patrawala murder: 4 acquitted released

The four accused in the Adnan Patrawala kidnap-murder case were released from jail on Tuesday morning. Ayush Bhat, Adnan’s friend and one of the accused, said he will pursue his graduation, and that being accused of killing his best friend was the worst phase of his life.

The sessions court on Monday had let off the four accused — Sujit Nair, Ayush Bhat, Rajeev Dharaiya and Amit Kaushal — aged between 25 and 31 years, on grounds of lack of evidence. The fifth accused, a minor, is being tried by the Juvenile Justice Board.
“I was pursuing my studies when I was arrested. I will now finish my graduation,” Ayush said outside Arthur Road jail upon his release. He added that he had not yet planned anything about his career.
