Malaysian firm keen on E-way project

Malaysian giant Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) has shown interest in Mumbai-Nagpur Super Communication Expressway.

Malaysian giant Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) has shown interest in Mumbai-Nagpur Super Communication Expressway. The Malaysian delegation met Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday at Mantralaya and discussed the project.

After PM Narendra Modi addressed the Heads of Mission (HoMs) conference on May 31 in New Delhi, Indian Ambassadors to 10 nations under HoMs called on Mr Fadnavis in Mumbai on Thursday.

The CM said, “It was a pleasure to meet the Indian ambassadors and high commissioners to 10 nations Prime Minister Modi believes that India lives in states, so such interactions are very important for presenting the strengths of our states to the world.”

He added that he shared Maharashtra’s growth story, reforms, speedy governance, immense opportunities and the role HoMs could play in accelerating the growth of the state. “Lately, many investors are experiencing the unimaginable speed of the state government along with the transparent and efficient way of working,” the CM said, adding “We discussed ways for increased collaboration for Nagpur-Mumbai Super Communication Expressway and other road projects.”

“We had a very good meeting with Malaysian delegation of CIDB,” the chief minister said.

He informed delegation that investors could invest in industries, the Smart City project, tourism and other infrastructure projects in the state. Meanwhile, the CIBD has shown interest in the Mumbai-Nagpur Super Communication Expressway way worth Rs 30,000 crore.
