Indrani didn’t want Sheena to be with Rahul: Friend

One of Indrani and Peter Mukerjea’s close friends has told CBI in his statement that once Indrani had told him that her sister Sheena was dating Rahul and she did not want them to be in relationship at any cost.

The friend, a West Bengal-based businessman Abhijit Sen told the CBI that he first met Indrani in 1998 through common friends and has known her ever since.

According to him, her former husband Sanjiv Khanna was an alcoholic and a chain smoker and used to become violent after drinking and hence she wanted to get rid of him. She came to Mumbai to expand her business i.e. INX services and here she met Peter who extended help to her and later they got married. Mr Sen was the only person invited from Kolkata to attend the wedding and he was privy to many personal details. He knew that Peter and Indrani were in a live-in relationship and got married in 2002 after she got a divorce from Khanna.

According to Mr Sen, “Once Indrani told had told me that her sister Sheena is dating Peter’s son Rahul, so she was worried about their relationship and said it could not be allowed to go on at any cost.”

He has also claimed that he was in physical relationship with Indrani. “Our friendship gradually developed, which resulted in physical relationship,” he said in his statement. He has also spoken about her relationship with four other men including two IPS officers.

According to his statement, “Indrani wanted to marry Karan Paul, owner of Park Group of Hotels, but she could not succeed in her mission.” He also said that Indrani had asked him to invest some money in their TV channel, but he refused.
