Passengers of a GoAir flight created ruckus at the domestic terminal on Saturday when their flight was delayed for over two hours.

Passengers of a GoAir flight created ruckus at the domestic terminal on Saturday when their flight was delayed for over two hours. The agitated passengers were found to be protesting against the airline’s pilot as he was allegedly not found be on duty.

GoAir’s flight G8 325 (Mumbai-Bangalore) that departs the city at around 9.45 pm was delayed for more than two hours, allegedly due to unavailability of pilot. The passengers booked on the Airbus 320 became agitated and were allegedly not told the reason behind the delay of their flight. Videos of these upset passengers went viral on social networking sites on Saturday night, with one female passenger seen saying the pilot had disappeared and they were clueless when they would be able to take off for their destination.

However, the airline said the flight was delayed due to late arrival of incoming aircraft, along with ATC congestion. “Flight G8 325 was delayed due to late arrival of incoming aircraft and coupled with ATC congestion thereafter. All passengers were provided meals and refreshments as per the airline policy,” said the airline spokesperson.
