Chhagan Bhujbal’s Nashik farmhouse valued at Rs 100 crore

Maharashtra Police’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is likely to seize senior NCP leader and former deputy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal’s upscale farmhouse located in Nashik. It is estimated to be worth Rs 100 crore and has a swimming pool, gymnasium, imported furniture and lush garden.

Bhujbal is under the scanner of the ACB in a case registered against him for allegedly amassing disproportionate assets (DA). An ACB team had recently conducted searches at Bhujbal’s assets, including the farmhouse spread over an area of 46,500 sq ft, said a source. “The farmhouse has 25 rooms, a big swimming pool, an ultra-modern gym and a garden, while the family had plans to build a tennis court there as well,” said the ACB source.

The ACB team that returned after carrying out a search at the farmhouse is preparing the valuation of the property. The source said that the search did not yield any incriminating document or valuables. He added, “The farmhouse has imported furniture and is equipped with imported amenities that people use on a daily basis.”

The ACB has a list of Bhujbal’s properties, which includes 17 lavish flats, six bungalows and a farmhouse. The ACB team will soon attach his properties in the DA case. The bureau has already recovered all the documents pertaining to these properties and an assessment is being carried out.

The ACB had registered the first FIR against Bhujbal for the allotment of a prime piece of land in Kalina to a developer for the construction of a library.
