City Muslims stage protest against dastardly attack

Mumbai: Various predominantly Muslim areas in Mumbai, including Bhendi Bazaar, Kurla, Mumbra and Thane, observed a bandh and held protests against the dastardly Pulwama attack.

While most of the shops remained closed in Mohammed Ali Road, Bhendi Bazaar, Dongri and Kurla, two different groups held protests after Friday prayers outside different masjids in Mumbai, Mumbra and Rabodi. Maulana Moin Miyan Ashraf said that during the protest outside Bilal Masjid, the flag of Pakistan was burnt and demands were made to declare Pakistan a terrorist country. According to Saeed Noori, head of Raza Academy, protests were also held outside Handiwali Masjid and Minara Masjid at Mohammed Ali Road. There were also protests outside Daul Falah Masjid in Mumbra and in Rabodi too.
