Secret compartments at orchestra bar razed
The police and MBMC personnel raided the orchestra bar Saturday night.
Mumbai: Secret compartments used to hide girls in an orchestra bar at Mira Road were demolished Monday.
The anti-encroachment wi-ng of the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC), along with the police, razed the secret hideouts at Hotel Yash 9, a notorious live orchestra bar in Sheetal Nagar, Mira Road.
The police and MBMC personnel raided the orchestra bar Saturday night. The police stumbled upon secret compartments at the establishment and a demolition drive was undertaken, said an official. The owner of the bar will be booked under relevant sections of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning (MRTP) Act, the official said.
The Thane (rural) police has rolled up its sleeves to strike at the root of this menace that has gripped the twin-city.
