Mumbai: With a majority of office-goers preferring to stay at home in view of the Maharashtra bandh, the overcrowded south Mumbai railway stations like Churchgate and Chattrapatti Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) wore a deserted look on Wednesday.

Even areas in and around Mantralaya and Nariman Point in the financial capital of the country saw very little people and traffic on the streets.  The city's financial hub, Nariman Point that houses many offices too did not see many people around it. The police managed to disperse protesters at CST and Churchgate within five minutes. The train services were disrupted but they were moderate flow of commuters.
