Banerjee had alleged that the Army was deployed without the state's consent.
Kolkata: The state BJP Sunday said it would file a case in the high court against chief minister Mamata Banerjee for her controversial statement over recently conducted Army exercise at the toll plazas across Bengal.
A BJP delegation led by state president Dilip Ghosh met governor Kesari Nath Tripathi- at Raj Bhavan in the morning to submit a deputation against Trinamul supremo's comments over army exercise. “Ms Banerjee has lowered the prestige and esteem of the Indian Army by making scathing remark that Army is conducting a loot at the toll booths. Our legal cell has already started preparations and in a few days we will move court against the unprecedented manner in which she had attacked the Army objecting to their regular exercise,” Mr. Ghosh told reporters.
He added that such fictitious allegations against the Army who are a pride of our nation are not only regrettable but highly obnoxious in the lowest form of dirty politics.
