9 held in Goa for molesting minor girl

Pune: Nine youth from Pune have been arrested by the Goa police for allegedly molesting a minor girl at a beach in Goa. Two more accused - both minors and part of the group of friends to which the nine arrested belong – were caught and sent to juvenile homes.

Jivba Dalvi, police inspector, Calangute police station, Goa, said, “The victim, along with her brother, who is also a minor, and their parents were strolling at Calangute beach Tuesday evening. A group of 11 youth from Pune, two of whom were minors, started clicking photographs of the minor girl in a manner that they would make them look obscene.”

“Hence, the brother of the victim asked the group why they were taking photos and asked that they delete them. The 11 accused thrashed the brother badly,” Dalvi said.
