Pune: The Pune police on Friday updated its website, adding a new facility called Lost and Found. After the introduction of Lost and Found facility on the website, the residents can submit an online complaint about articles lost by them, instead of going to police stations.

People who have lost their belongings such as mobile phones and ID cards can go to Lost and Found section of Pune Police website to file a complaint. The Pune residents will have to fill up information about their name, mobile number, address and details of the article they have lost and the area where they lost it. After filing all the necessary details, the Pune police website will send One Time Password (OTP) on their mobiles to authenticate the identity of the complainant. Later an acknowledgement receipt with digital signature will be issued, and complainants will have to print it out.

The complaint will be forwarded to the crime branch of the police station of the area where the article was lost. If the article is found, the police will update it on the website and also call the complainant.
