Mentally ill woman kills eight-month-old son in Delhi
The woman's husband was shocked to see his wife sitting with the mutilated body of their eight-month-old baby in her lap.
New Delhi: A mentally disturbed woman allegedly killed her eight-month-old baby in outer Delhi's Aman Vihar area, police said on Friday.
The incident happened on late Thursday night when the infant boy was with his mother. His two sisters, aged seven and two, were at their grandfather's residence, police said.
According to reports, when her husband returned home at around 1 am in the night, he was shocked to see his wife sitting with the mutilated body of their eight-month-old baby in her lap. While the head of the baby was lying on the ground covered in blood.
The woman has been admitted to a hospital and further investigation is underway.
