New Delhi: In an attempt to keep proper check on whether its booth presidents are attending the interaction session with BJP president Amit Shah or not on December 23, Delhi BJP will be issuing an identity card with barcode for the event.

Mr Shah is scheduled to interact with presidents of all the polling booths in the national capital at IG Stadium.

The I-card issued for the function will contain all the details of the individual along with a barcode. The convenor of the programme, Dharambir Singh, told this newspaper that the barcode will help the party to check the attendance at the interaction.

Sources said that the new identity card with barcode is made to ensure that everyone attends the meet. “For the past many occasions, several workers with important responsibilities did not turn up for the events. With the help of the barcode in the identity card, we will have information about those who attend the meet and those who do not turn up can be easily identified,” he added. The identity card will  carry the name of booth president, booth number, Assembly constituency, block and districts and a barcode at the bottom.
