New Delhi: A three-year-old girl was rescued within 48 hours from the clutches of her kidnappers who were going to sell the minor for Rs 50,000. Two women have been arrested in this reagrd.

The arrested duo were identified as Rani (20) and Sahili (20), both residents of Usman Pur, Delhi.  About six months ago, they were married with two brothers.

The police said, the three-year-old girl was kidnapped on the afternoon of January 11 from Jama Masjid.

The complainant reported that he along with his wife, younger brother and two daughters had visited Jama Masjid. His daughters were playing near Vajukhana. After some time, he found that his younger daughter was missing. He searched for her everywhere but she could not be traced.

During investigation, the footage of CCTV cameras was analysed in which three women were seen going with the kidnapped child.

A tip-off was received that two women would come in the area of Jama Masjid along with a kidnapped child. The police team laid a trap and both the women were apprehended.

DCP (Central) Mandeep Randhawa said they disclosed that they were instigated by another woman who told them that she needed a child for which she could pay Rs 50,000.
