New Delhi: In a bid to engage teachers in learning, a delegation of four teachers from Delhi University’s SGTB Khalsa College will be sent to a university in Canada next month to undertake a teachers’ training programme for two weeks.

Canada-India Centre for Excellence (CICE) at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, has launched the “Teacher’s Training Programmes for New Age Teachers” in collaboration with the SGTB Khalsa College. The training will be held between 15 and 29 June.

Khalsa College principal Jaswinder Singh said that the programme would train teachers to understand the teacher-student relation. “Good learning practices would be a striking feature of the visit. Teachers will learn management of students from different walks of life. There they are expected to understand the pedagogy of delivering knowledge,” Mr Singh said.
